2021.10.22 13:06 SevvvenLi Borderlands 3 crashes while trying Multiplayer (connecting to SHIFT)

Borderlands 3 on macbook pro m1 is available on Epic games and it takes 200G! First problem starts at "log in" the game, before the main menu shows, the game crashes. I found a solution of deleting Save files and run the game and it works. The game runs normally if I play it in single player mode. Btw m1 macbook can run BL 3 greatly in the minimum quality (50%).
However, even though the game shows it is working online, whenever I try to connect with multiplayer (same thing as connecting to SHIFT), the game crashes. Now I have no idea how to deal with it but I really want to play with my friends together.
Hoping someone have the solution!!!

2021.10.22 13:06 Due-Bit7782 🐶Shiba Dash just launched!, 💸 6% Shiba Rewards (Fair Launch, LP Locked for 1 year), The next Doge Dash! 🟡 From Based Dev

About us?
We are the best thing to happen to rewards tokens to date. We see ourselves as a long-term project and plan to work extraordinarily hard to deliver for our holders. Based on our project $ShibaDash rewards will be awarded in $SHIB. Therefore if you simply hold tokens 6% of rewards will be allotted in $SHIB!
Here at $ShibaDash, our goal is simple. We want to truly reward our holders. Most other reward tokens give out small rewards and they don’t really make it worthwhile to hold their token. We want to change all that. We’ve been working incredibly hard to find creative ways to make the best rewards token we possibly can. So here’s what we’re doing to change the game.
Now on top of all this we also have a really neat buy-back staking feature we’re going to be implementing at launch. After every buy and sell, 2% of the transaction is sent to a wallet. This wallet keeps building, then at a desired amount, we stake the holdings of the wallet. After staking is finished we use these funds to purchase $ShibaDash in times of low volume or during dips. Then these tokens are reflected back to our holders. That is three separate ways we reward you for buying and being a loyal holder. Coming in the following months after launch, we plan to release our own re-loadable crypto credit card! From our Rewards Hub, you will be able to choose the card as an option and the instantly have your rewards sent to the card in a usable currency. You will be able to make purchases anywhere that a regular credit card would be accepted. So surely you don’t want to miss out on our up coming presale, this is one true gem of a project. Be sure to join our telegram group and follow us on twitter for all the latest information!
Marketing Plan
💰We will have a large marketing push at this point and advertise EVERYWHERE, we aleready have a huge budged collected from external investors. Once we get some holders and some volume flowing, we are planning to apply on CoinGecko and we will have great exposure there. We have plans for billboards, websites, online literature website, and buy votes for every crypto charting and ranking platforms. After a successful push we hope to have roughly High active members in our Telegram group. 💪
6% Base Rewards This amount gets gets sent right back to our holders in the form of user-chosen rewards. 2% Liquidity This amount gets sent right to our Liquidity Pool 2% For Marketing These funds will be used for future marketing endeavours, such as billboards, online ads, AMA's, and giveaways. 1% For Future Development We have big plans here at ShibaDash rewards. The future plans for furthering our project is going to cost us money. These funds are strictly used to development the project further. 2% Staking Buy-Back These are the funds that get staked, then used as a buyback function, then the bought tokens get reflected back to holders.

2021.10.22 13:06 AnnyuiN Stay Safe Apes - A post on staying safe online

A guide to staying safe online
I was reading a thread on SS about online trackers tracking us Apes and though apes could use a quick guide to staying safe online as well as maintaining privacy. As someone who works in IT/Cybersecurity, I see on the daily how many mistakes users make when it comes to staying secure online. This post will be divided into two sections: Staying Safe Online & Maintaining Privacy Online
Staying Safe Online:VPNs:
A VPN(virtual private network) is a commonly advertised service for staying safe online. There is a lot of misinformation about one can and can't do. I'll be looking to dispel a lot of myths as well as explain the true benefits of a VPN in this part of the guide
VPNs: what they can & can't do:
Can do:

Example of secure website padlock
What they can't do:
Recommended VPN providers:
I know recommending a VPN provider can be quite controversial as incentives can exist. I will be recommending two popular VPN providers that have a strong track record of privacy and security.
Proton VPN - ProtonVPN is the same VPN made by the ProtonMail team. As they are based on Switzerland they are subject to some of the strongest privacy protection laws in the world. They have a great track record when it comes to security and privacy.
Mullvad - One of the few true no log, no PII(personally identifiable information) VPN providers. They provide a VPN service that encourages use of cryptocurrency as payment by providing discounts to users paying with said currencies as well as asking for 0 personal information while signing up. I highly recommend them and I use them myself.
Host your own VPN - Instructions for creating your own VPN using SoftEther opensource VPN(advanced): https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-setup-a-multi-protocol-vpn-server-using-softether
Multi/Two factor authentication:
Multi-factor authentication is an important step that can be taken to secure your online accounts. It provides a secondary code in addition to your password. There are 3 main types of 2FA/MFA(two/multi factor authentication): Email, SMS(text message), App based(Google Authenticator)
Email 2FA - While this can be a secure form of 2FA, it depends on the security in place on your email. If your email is hacked, everything else then becomes vulnerable. I personally limit my use of email 2FA when I can. It is however preferable to SMS based 2FA which I will talk about next
SMS 2FA - A code is typically sent to your phone to verify the account. This is insecure due to how easy it is for a malicious actor to do whats called a SIM Swap. All they need to do is call your phone provider and fake your identity which allows them to temporarily steal your phone number. If a service only offers SMS based 2FA, I recommend using a Google Voice number or Google Fi as they are difficult to steal numbers from.
App 2FA - The most secure form of 2FA usually using Google's Authentication app. A code is generated every 30 seconds that can be used to verify your account in addition to your password. The two most popular apps for this are Google Authenticator and Authy. Google Authenticator is not available across multiple devices which is more secure however less convienient. Authy is available to sync your codes between all devices. I recommend setting it up using a Google Voice number. (Guide)
Password Managers:
Here I will be talking about the use of password managers. Using a password manager keeps you secure online by making sure none of your passwords are reused between services. Some best practices include: use a reputable service, use a new password for each website, use a unique password as your master password, setup Google 2FA/Authy for logging in to your password manager.
Recommended password managers:
1Password - From what I have heard, 1Password is one of the most reputable password managers on the market. I personally have never used them but my colleagues all speak highly of them.
Bitwarden - An open source password manager, the code is publicly available for anyone to look at. This password manager has been audited by security firms as well as being available for hosting on your own servers.
Lastpass - I can't personally recommend Lastpass. I used to use them however I recently moved to Bitwarden after they limited their free tier. They are owned by Francisco Partners and an affiliate of Elliott Management Corporation. For those who don't know, Elliot Management is a terrible private equity firm not too different from Apollo management in their trashy behavior. I am including Lastpass on this list as it is one of the most popular password managers.
Keeping your information private online:
Adblockers and Tracker blockers prevent the tracking of your data online. They also reduce the pesky ads that may interfere with your browsing. I highly recommend these two extensions listed below as they are the most private and secure options.
Ad blockers and Privacy Trackers:

2021.10.22 13:06 seekupanemotion Can my employer give my hours to a new employee because she has a child at home to support? [ID]

My employer recently cut my hours nearly in half and hired a new gal. We are now overstaffed and I can not afford to work part-time. My job is a full-time position. The other employees who are also taking a slight cut in hours were told that the new hire would only be working a couple of days a week. Now she has 35 hours weekly and I have 24.
Is my employer allowed to cut my work hours to better this new woman because she has a child to support? She chooses to not accept child support from the child's father because she wants nothing to do with him. The EEOC protects women for being discriminated against when it comes to them getting pregnant. Surely this should go both ways.

2021.10.22 13:06 koltd93 Someone make this decision for me please

Hi all. Jumped off the deep end as far at staring my homelab and have too many options for my first project, my NAS.
TrueNAS vs unRaid is really tripping me up.
From what I've read, ZFS on truenas is less susceptible to bitrot because it scrubs your drives every so often. I've read conflicting information on how unraid deals with this.
Here's the kicker:
I like unraid as an option because i can mix and match all my drives that i already have, (I dont think i can do that with Truenas?)
but that unraid license fee tho :(
Or maybe there's another storage solution that i've missed?

Thank you in advance.

As far as hardware: Dell R810, Dell R710, Dell R720, 2x Dell r410's, 2x IBM 3650m3's, Dell optiplex 9010 (pfsense router), CISCO sge2000p switch (not a fan), and gigabit SFP cards in each machine.
